Paradiso

The blinding light had scattered in the vast chasm in the abyss. The creatures had run faster as they could. While the devil himself who wanted to devour me had leaped backward where he could never be touched by the illumination. He covered his eyes and ears. And groaned with anger and fear. Nothing he could, not even a single act of retaliation.

He was scared. The light was enveloping the devil’s lair, shrouded in a great expanse. The king of darkness had disappeared. But I could still hear his frustrated growl.

The light extinguished slowly until it became a ray of spotlight. And gradually, the rays of light came toward me. I felt the lightness of my entirety. All my discomforts vanished; my wounds were healed in an instant. The extreme feeling of comfort surrounded me. It soothed me down to my bones and soul. I floated into the air, ascending as if the light was carrying me. It transported me up above until the abyss slowly withered from my sight.

I have reached the floating clouds. And just above the golden white light was an immense and glistening portal. I could hear the symphony coming from it. It was getting louder as I came closer to the huge golden entrance.

The opening was shimmering and ornamented with plain gold carved with words transcribed in Aramaic. I was amazed. Stunned! It was mesmerizing!

Suddenly, the heavenly gate slowly opened. Even the stairs were gleaming. All its pillars were made of gold.

The celestial entities came into my view. They stood thoughtfully while facing me. They were all in plain white and their clothes were glittering. They had beautiful wings and a golden ring just floating above their heads. The feeling was insurmountable. It was a euphoria!

As I walked along the aisle, the angels began to sing, so angelic and beautiful. Their chorus was invigorating, and my soul was uplifted by the divine ecstasy. Some of them played trumpets and some were showering white flowers. I could smell the fragrance that dispersed in the air. The cherubim were playing harps, and the seraphim were clapping their hands.

The aisle was decorated with gold and flowers too.

When I looked in front, while striding slowly, there was a human figure gleaming that I couldn’t look straight at him. He has no face, only the blinding fluorescence.

The four archangels, who have the power to command other divine beings, stood beside him. They were armored with swords and mirrored with valor.

Michael, the warrior angel, mirrored the strength and courage; Gabriel, the top angelic messenger of God, depicted calmness; Raphael, who heals the mind, spirit, and body, mirrored compassion on his face; and Uriel, the flame of God, who grants wisdom to those who ask.
They smiled at me, welcoming me. The look on their faces and eyes was emblazoned with warm greetings.

I cried! It was an immeasurable joy, I felt. I kneeled down slowly.  And I exclaimed, “I thought you already abandoned me, my Lord.” And I cried even more. “I commend you my soul,” I continued.

“You are already home, my son.” He answered.
